As an important part of modern electronic information PCB industry, PCB has the following obvious characteristics:
(1) Integrated circuit and printed circuit board are inseparable. Integrated circuit (IC) technology reflects the industrial modernization level of a country and guides the development of electronic information industry. The electrical interconnection and assembly of integrated circuits are inseparable from printed circuit boards. With the further integration and miniaturization of electronic equipment, especially the gradual development of large-scale and very large-scale integrated circuits, the technology of printed circuit boards and PCB manufacturing must also adapt to this situation. At present, integrated circuit technology and printed circuit technology are approaching each other, infiltrating each other and cooperating more closely. Therefore, PCB will continue to develop in the 21st century.
(2) High technology products are indispensable to printed circuit boards, which play a role in connecting various electronic components and electrical interconnection in electronic equipment products. In military affairs, many printed circuit boards are used for artificial satellites, intercontinental missiles, rocket launches and aerospace. For example, the Apollo lunar landing spacecraft of the United States uses 42 layers of printed circuit boards. Printed circuit board is the basic component of flat panel color TV, digital camera, automatic washing machine and video phone in modern families. When you turn on computers and communication machines, you will see a complex multilayer printed circuit board. Tens of thousands of SPC digital exchanges used in each city need dozens of double-sided boards, multilayer boards, mainboards and large backboards. Notebook computers, mobile phones, digital cameras, cameras, cars, satellites, navigators and other high-tech products that lead the trend have adopted a large number of high-density interconnection, high reliability, high-precision blind hole burial, thin rigidity and flexible layer printed boards. (3) PCB company embodies modern science and management. A foreign entrepreneur said that if you can manage a PCB multilayer factory, you can manage any other PCB factory. This sentence shows that a large multilayer board factory is complex and difficult to manage. More than five PCB industries are involved.
1. Multidisciplinary. PCB production includes polymer chemistry, optics, precision processing, electronic technology, automatic control, computer technology and other disciplines.
2. Various technologies. It includes computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM), numerical control drilling, optical imaging pattern transfer, hole metallization, pattern electroplating, acid base etching, plug nickel/gold plating, hot air leveling, liquid optical imaging solder mask, multi-layer lamination and interlayer positioning, on-off testing and other complex process technologies.
3. Multiple processes. There are thirty to forty processes in the process of manufacturing embedded blind plates through multilayer plates. Many processes include ten or twenty sub processes. If any process goes wrong, all previous efforts will be abandoned and the product will be scrapped.
4. Various equipment. Each process requires many high-precision computer control automation equipment, such as laser plotter, CNC drilling/milling machine, vacuum laminator, automatic electroplating line, automatic optical detection system, multi-layer positioning system, various special testing equipment, etc. Each equipment costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.
