Five Methods of Disassembling Integrated Circuits in PCB Factory
The circuit board manufacturer, circuit board designer and PCBA manufacturer will explain to you: five methods for circuit board manufacturers to disassemble integrated circuits
In the process of PCB copying, it is necessary to disassemble the circuit board, dismantle the integrated circuit and other components to make a BOM list, and scan and copy the disassembled bare PCB. Therefore, it is also an important topic to correctly disassemble the integrated circuit on the PCB in this process.
Not only in the PCB copying process, but also in the circuit board maintenance, it is often necessary to remove the integrated circuit from the printed circuit board. Due to the large number and density of integrated circuit pins, it is very difficult to remove, and sometimes it will damage the integrated circuit and circuit board. Here, we provide several effective methods for accurately disassembling integrated circuits, hoping to help you.
Method 1: Solder suction disassembly method
It is a common professional method to disassemble the integrated block by using a tin suction device. The tool used is an ordinary electric soldering iron with a power of more than 35W. When disassembling the manifold block, just put the heated dual-use electric soldering iron head on the manifold block pin to be disassembled, and when the solder spot is melted, it will be sucked into the tinner, and the manifold block can be removed after the solder of all pins is sucked.
Method 2: Medical hollow needle disassembly
Take several medical hollow needles 8 to 12. When in use, the inner diameter of the needle just fits the pin of the integrated block. When disassembling, use a soldering iron to melt the soldering tin of the pin, cover the pin with a needle in time, remove the soldering iron and rotate the needle, and pull out the needle after the soldering tin has solidified. In this way, the pin is completely separated from the printed circuit board. After all pins are done once, the integrated block can be easily removed.
Method 3: Demolition with electric iron brush
The method is simple and feasible, as long as there is an electric iron and a small brush. When disassembling the manifold block, first heat the electric soldering iron. When the tin melting temperature is reached, melt the solder on the pin, and then use a brush to remove the melted solder. In this way, the pins of the integrated block can be separated from the printed circuit board. This method can be carried out by foot or by column. Finally, pry off the manifold block with sharp tweezers or a small "straight" screwdriver.
Method 4: Add solder melting and disassembling method
This method is a convenient method, as long as some solder is added to the pins of the integrated block to be disassembled to connect the solder joints of each row of pins, so as to facilitate heat transfer and disassembly. When disassembling, use an electric soldering iron to heat each row of pins, pry them with a sharp pair of tweezers or a small "straight" screwdriver, and heat the two rows of pins alternately until they are removed. Generally, each row of pins can be removed after heating twice.
Method 5: Tin absorption and disassembly of multi strand copper wire
Use multi strand copper core plastic wire to remove the plastic skin, and use multi strand copper core wire (short wire head can be used). Before use, apply rosin alcohol solution to multiple strands of copper core wires. After the electric soldering iron is heated, place the multiple strands of copper core wires on the manifold block pins for heating. In this way, the solder on the pins will be absorbed by the copper wires. The part that absorbs the solder can be cut off. Repeat several times to absorb all the solder on the pins. If possible, braided wires in shielded wires can also be used. As long as the soldering tin is sucked up, the integrated block can be removed by gently prying with tweezers or a small "straight" screwdriver.
